As a solicitor I have been delighted with the benefits ‘Office 365’ has brought to my business. Although I admit to being a little sceptical when my Hosted Services provider first suggested I purchase the software in hindsight it’s been one of the best investments I’ve made since setting up business.

As ‘Office 365’ works directly with ‘Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point’ the system felt familiar from the start and I was easily able to create all the Client Accounts I needed. The software does’ what it says on the tin’ and has given me reliability, excellent performance and availability.

Confidentiality in legal services is paramount and fact that my emails, documents and networks are continuously scanned and backed up 24 hours a day, 7 days a week was a real assurance when investing in the system. I also appreciate that the system is scalable and as my business grows ‘Office 365’ will grow with it.

I use Exchange online for accessing my emails, calendar and contacts whenever and wherever I need to; at home, in the office or on my phone.

It is essential for me to be able to access my documents when I’m away from the office and because this system is Cloud based it offers me that facility. I can conduct online meetings with colleagues and clients with video sharing if needed, and electronically view and edit documents whist on the go.

It offers premium anti-spam and anti-virus protection and you can even create a professionally looking website using this system.

Now I’ve got ‘Office 365’ I don’t need to be in the office 365.

We are a local independent charity established in 2002.Our objective is to be an innovative youth centre and community hub for the youth of Thirsk and surrounding area. Since moving to our new base behind St. James’ Green Methodist Church our organisation has expanded faster than our expectations and in early 2012 we realised our rather antiquated email system together with our inability to share data amongst the increasing numbers of staff members was no longer dependable or adequate. It was at this point we approached Elliott Chandler at Clearwave Enterprise Solutions Ltd to see if his company could offer advice on the best direction for us to take with our technology problem.

We were most impressed that personnel from Clearwave made several site visits to our centre taking time to understand how our procedures and operations worked before suggesting a ‘fix’. They made suggestions on how we might better improve our processes and, in perfectly easy to understand terms, they explained how technology could help us. They gave us several alternatives to solve our issues and there was absolutely no pressure to buy anything from them at any time. Eventually we settled on a Managed IT Service from Clearwave to take care of our antivirus and web filtering. In addition we purchased some hardware and implemented Office 365, which has vastly improved the functionality of our email system and enabled us to share data quickly and reliably using Sharepoint. As our organisation continues to grow we will easily be able to add users to our system making our IT system Efficient and scaleable.

I first met Elliott when he answered an SOS that I posted on 'Linked In' for help correcting a program on my laptop. I am not IT and IT error messages mean nothing to me and so trying to run my business and having to cope with computer problems is frustrating.
